Brenda Allison founded Allison Commercial Insurance Agency, Inc. after successfully launching another agency that is still running in Ventura County. She started both agencies from “scratch”. Quickly she focused her expertise to become a Business Insurance Specialist as she found a niche in helping business owners manage their everyday risks and overcome the unexpected. She expanded her expertise to include individual health insurance and quickly ranked #6 nationally among her peers for health insurance production. In 2007, Allison Commercial Insurance Agency expanded the agency by acquiring long-time friends and collaborators, Coast General Insurance Brokers.

Angelina Lopez – Director of Operations | Account Manager

As the Director of Operations Angelina manages the agencies day to day operations, ensuring our daily outcomes are aligned with the Company’s mission and goals.

Angelina joined Coast General Insurance Brokers in 2003 and has focused in Commercial Insurance ever since. She enjoys coming to the office every day and helping our clients manage their insurance requirements. The most rewarding part of Angelina’s work is getting to the finish line of her toughest projects. The appreciation from her clients makes it all worth it.

Bret Russell – Regional Manager | Business Development

Commercial Lines Coverage Specialist, CLCS

Bret is a third generation insurance professional. He is proud to follow his father and grandfather’s insurance footsteps along with their example of old fashioned work ethic. He started with Coast General Insurance Brokers in 2016. Not only does Bret hold the distinction of his Life & Health and Property & Casualty licenses, he went to Hartford, CT where he worked hard to earn his Commercial Lines Coverage Specialist designation. Bret is ready, willing and able to work hard. He proves it every single day.

What Bret says is most exciting about his new role in the industry is the ability to truly protect persons, families, and businesses from unforeseen risks. Bret is also excited to be a part of a team that cares about people and their wellbeing as much as he does.


Gina Chessani – Director of Customer Retention | Account Manager

Gina is responsible for working with her direct team ensuring our existing long time clients are adequately insured. She is detail oriented and takes pride in making sure the client’s requirements are met accurately and in a timely manner.

In her 10 years with the agency her favorite part of the job is building and maintaining relationships with clients.


Leslie Witz – Assistant Internal Underwriter | Claims Administration

Leslie oversees our client’s Claims – including claims intake, reporting as well as following the claims processes until closing. Leslie also assists in the Internal Underwriting department. She joined our agency in 2010 as the receptionist and has moved into what she says is her favorite position.

What Leslie enjoys most about her job is assisting clients through their claims process, no matter how big or small the claim may be.


Lia Vitier – New Business Sales Executive

Lia joined the agency in 2015. She is in our New Business Sales Department, where she processes and underwrites new business clients.

Lia says what she enjoys most about her job is “working with multiple lines of insurance and the continual education and growth within the agency. I enjoy the ability to work independently and as a team. I respect the trust we are given from our clients and the people I work with. I really like that our team members truly care about our clients and always want to do a good job for them.”


Yesenia Baez – Administrative Assistant

Yesenia is a natural customer service genius. As a former flight attendant, Yesenia is trained to be prepared for anything at a moment’s notice and respond immediately with grace and intelligence. Yesenia joined our team in January 2016 to provide administrative support, including preparation and maintenance of client files, redirecting client inquires and request as well as working on special time-sensitive projects. She brings prosperity to the company with her willingness to cross train in each department. Working alongside and growing with the experienced team Yesenia looks forward to becoming an Insurance professional herself.


Maria Rodriguez – Junior Accounting Specialist

While attending California Lutheran University, Maria has enhanced her accounting knowledge and has proven to obtain analytic ability extending beyond the Generally Accepted Accounting Principles. Maria takes great pride in being part of the first generation in her family to attend and graduate from a four-year university. As the Junior Accountant, Maria analyzes and performs overviews of our financial operations in order to help our company run efficiently. Maria has an epistemopholic personality, her love and reverence for knowledge have been more than apparent. She is eager to reach her full potential at Coast General Insurance Brokers, as an accounting professional and will continue to be a great asset to our team.
